SUMMARY:Taste of the World – 2018
DESCRIPTION:Sixth Annual\nTaste of the World\nAn International Food\, Wine & Beer Tasting to benefit ImmaCare Inc. \nThank you to everyone who supported the sixth annual Taste of the World on Friday\, April 13\, 2018 at St. Thomas Seminary in Bloomfield! \nThis year’s event was our best year yet! The room was transformed into a medley of enjoyable flavors and sips from around the world. \nCommunity leaders\, volunteers and dignitaries alike kept the room energized throughout the evening\, enjoying the savory food and fine spirits\, as well as bidding on silent auction prizes while chatting with ImmaCare supporters all in support of our mission. ImmaCare’s Board of Directors and staff took this opportunity to personally thank some of the very important people who help ImmaCare fulfill our mission to provide housing and decent shelter to those with no other options. Renee DiNino of iHeart Media went above and beyond as a partner and Special Guest Master of Ceremonies. \nIn addition\, ImmaCare had the great pleasure of honoring Carol Rizzo\, Niki Bordieri and Darlene Ferguson of The Grinder Ladies with The Partnership Award in recognition and appreciation of their many years of support\, not only making meals with love for the clients of the shelter\, but for transforming lives of the many Confirmation students that have prepared and served meals with them during the past 15 years. We are truly blessed. St. Thomas Seminary’s Chef Gordon presented the most exquisite menu yet\, including Cajun\, Italian\, Indian\, Peruvian and British cuisine. Avon Super Cellar provided an array of delicious wines appreciated by enthusiasts and novices alike\, and Back East Brewing Company and Thimble Island Brewing Company poured a variety of beers sure to satisfy everyone’s palette. New to join us this year was Hartford Flavor Company who offered a sampling of their Wild Moon Liqueurs. Finally\, attendees finished off the evening with tasty desserts prepared and donated by So Mint to Be. \nThank you to A.
